CEO Nuts2 Holding BV

Gerard Klijn has over 35 years of experience in the nuts and dried fruits industry. He started as a buyer at his parents’ company, Klijn B (currently Jack Klijn, acquired by Intersnack in the late 90-ties), and held positions at Global Trading & Agency BV. At the moment he is CEO of Nuts2 Holding BV. Nuts2 focusses on processing in Africa of cashews and other nuts. Their aim is to create transparent, traceable and fair value chains, making sure there is a business model for all the actors involved.

Gerard: “Within Nuts2 and SNI I am passionate about working on sector transformation. What drives me is to have impact on lives of people, especially in Africa. Both on farmer and factory level, for service providers and other actors in the chain. Within a platform as SNI we can work together to have serious impact.
