2024 has been a fruitful year for our participant base!

Looking back on 2024, we take pride in the growth of our participant base and are thrilled to welcome five new participants to SNI! With more actors joining our platform, we are able to collectively drive significant sustainability impacts in the cashew nut supply chain. Together, we can strategically develop solutions to tackle the critical social and environmental challenges facing the sector.

Johnny Cashew offers cashew nuts that are both produced and processed in the country of origin thereby shortening the cashew nut supply chain and reducing carbon emissions. They promote Fairtrade certified cashews, while their local processing has created hundreds of jobs.

Cocoasource offers a variety of goods and services including cashews to the global industry. They focus on having a positive impact on the communities they source from, by expanding the sourcing of certified products, while considering the environmental impact of their logistics operations, by promoting a carbon free supply chain.

Gebana sources and trades cashew nuts from family farmers thereby striving to go beyond “organic” and “fair” practices. They focus on the sustainability of the entire value chain, emphasizing local economies and environmental preservation. Their holistic approach to sustainability reflects their commitment to continuous improvement and the values of supporting families, farmers, and the environment.

Permanuts sources cashew nuts from a network of farmers in Mozambique under the philosophy of permaculture. They process cashews locally, ensuring single-country origin and traceability. Their approach prioritizes environmental preservation while working with thousands of smallholder farmers to promote sustainability and transparency in the supply chain.

Cashew Coast sources and processes cashew kernels locally in Côte d’Ivoire, working directly with thousands of smallholder farmers. They offer both organic and conventional cashews, ensuring full traceability to the farm level. By providing year-round support through their local field agents, they help farmers improve productivity and promote sustainable practices.

We are pleased to welcome our new participants, whose efforts in sustainable supply chains offer valuable insights that can help us all push forward on our sustainability journey.
